Calling all Ags

In preparation for our little date day in College Station this Friday; we are calling on all aggies and those who have been fortunate enough to spend some serious time in College Station for some help. If you could go back and experience one activity on a random march day, what would it be? Thanks for the help in planning our little getaway. This includes eating as well. Thanks and gig ‘em!

What momma loves, baby loves

The McGown crew came up to dallas for the weekend - what fun! As luck would have it - we had awesome weather on Thursday and Friday - and then chilly on Saturday and into Sunday. But, that wouldn't stop us from making a trip to my favorite park in Dallas - the Dallas Zoo! It was Josh's first trip to the Dallas Zoo - and he and Abi enjoyed checking out the animals and being entertained by the "other apes" that they were with all day.
Donald caught this awesome pic when Patrick (donald's favorite animal at the zoo) yawned:

Josha and Abi with the gorilla that is fine to be out of the cage:

Just hanging out with a nile crocodile:

Josh was a fan of the slide, Abi - not so much:

Makes me smile

I think that babies love (at times) what we love. I really believe that Abi loves playing piano - but then again, she plays it when I'm playing it, and she gets to bang on something black and white that makes noise! Ummm, of course she would like that! Well, maybe more of a stretch - but abi loves playing guitar too - and these are the happiest moments for donald playing guitar as well! She can actually figure out how to make "music" too! She's our little Lori Chaffer!

And they (and we) said it couldn't be done...

The unthinkable has happened. Last night, under eminent threat of hail (it did end up being a really cool storm - I was scared for part of it!) Donald and I were motivated to get the garage organized so that we could just get little saab-y in and put a roof over her head. Well, OK, donald did all of the work - Abi and I were there for conversation support. And it happened - but not just one car, but TWO cars found cover last night. Weird - using garage space for what it was meant for.

The Odd Couple

This video got sent to me from one of my good friends who used to work at the Zoo with me. For all of you animal lovers out there (and those who are just animal likers too) this will pull at your heart strings.

Animals truly are amazing. I could, of course, go on and on here - but I think that the video will speak for itself. Ladies - grab a tissue! Gentlemen - just pretend to sneeze or something and then wipe your eye.
